Hyperlink
As the name implies, a hyperlink is a link within a web document that is usually displayed as a highlighted image, word or group of words, which contains relevant information that points to a separate web page or document.Commonly used as a citation to related literature and resources, this type of link is composed of two anchor ends using < a > and < /a >. For example, the following link: Glossary of Terms, is linked back to the SEOAdept glossary terms page. When a user clicks on this highlighted word, they are immediately taken to referenced site.
The whole concept behind hyperlinks was to create an interconnected web of resources that could access and link every unit of information to any other unit of information across the World Wide Web.
