Landing Page
As the term implies, a landing page is the web page that a visitor reaches upon clicking a specific link or advertisement. These web pages may be reached via search engine results pages; linked keywords or keyword phrases; pay per clicks; and cost per clicks. Landing pages may also be accessed through website buttons (prompts), and other hyperlinked text. With regard to newsletters or email campaigns, links contained therein will direct users to a particular landing page, which may be the website homepage, an advertising page, or an informational web page.
In addition, a landing page may be an online document where users may register for events; enter contests; submit surveys; or a page where users may purchase products and/or services.
In general, landing pages commonly provide information about products, services and/or other site contributions.
