Are web site submission strategies the same for all search engines?

With few exceptions these days, there is no need to "submit" your site to search engines in order to be listed. A few links from established sites to your site will bring the search engine spiders to you -- usually when a few days of the setup of the links to your site.

The spider visiting your site will start from the linked page (usually your home page, but not always) and find and index all of the other pages on your site, assuming that you have a navigation system that provides identifiable links to your other pages on the originally visited page.

In the early days of Internet search, it WAS important to submit your site to the search engines, but these days it is not.
